1. inspection and preparation

Before installation, prepare the machine and installation materials, check the ductile iron pipe, pipe fittings and rubber ring. If there are any problems with ductile iron pipe, pipe fittings or rubber ring, do not use it.

2. Requirements for the installation layer of the pipeline

In the case of multi-rock soil layers, in order to ensure that the ductile iron pipes are placed in a continuous manner, the problem of the installation layer should be considered (the soft soil does not have to be considered). The installation layer consists of soft granular material (sand, small crushed stone, sifted soil), and its thickness should ensure that the minimum distance from the bottom of the pipe is not less than 100mm. The thickness of the sand cushion should meet the requirements.

3, T-type flexible interface (plug-in type) installation of ductile iron pipe

(1) Find the mounting surface and lower the tube

a. Use the observer and level to find the mounting surface.

b. Detecting the bottom of the ditch should be neat and tidy, and avoid placing the pipe on the convex surface of the bottom stone.

c. Under normal circumstances, the direction of water flow should flow from the socket to the socket; however, in the case of a large slope, the socket should be facing upwards and the installation should be carried out from bottom to top.

d. Try to avoid installing the socket to the socket.

e. When placing the lower ditch, avoid strong collision with the bottom and the wall.

(2) Cover cleaning

Before installation, use a brush and a clean rag to clean the inner cavity of the casting tube. In particular, the part where the rubber sealing ring is placed must be thoroughly cleaned, and no residue such as paint, soil, sand or water should be left.


(3) apron installation

For the rubber seal of smaller size, put it into the "heart" type and put it into the seal groove of the socket; for the rubber seal of larger size, bend it into the "ten" shape or other shape and put it into the socket seal. Inside the slot.

After the rubber seal of the socket is placed, apply the hand along the entire apron or tamper with a rubber mallet to ensure that the various parts of the rubber ring are not twisted, evenly caught in the groove, and checked for complete fit.


(4) Socket cleaning

Clean the socket of the cast tube with a brush and a clean rag and check that the edge of the socket is smooth.


(5) Special lubricant for coating

In order to facilitate the installation of the pipeline, the inner surface of the apron that has been installed on the socket and the outer surface of the socket of the cast pipe are lubricated with a special lubricant before installation.

The painted lubricant should have good lubricating properties and should be easy to apply on site; the lubricant should not contain any toxic components, and should not affect the service life of the apron and must not cause pollution to the conveying medium.

(6) Pipe connection

a. For small-size ductile iron pipes (generally referred to as DN400 or less), guide chains or crowbars are usually used as installation tools. When using crowbars, wooden blocks must be protected on the socket pads.

b. For large-size ductile iron pipes (generally ≥ DN400), excavators are usually used as installation tools.

When installing with an excavator, a hardwood block must be placed between the ductile iron pipe and the bucket, and the excavator pushes the mounting pipe slowly and smoothly.

c. When installing with lifting machinery, it is necessary to use a special spreader to hang two points on the pipe body to ensure balance, and there is a manual assist to push the mounting cast.

d. In order to ensure that the installation pipe is inserted into the socket more labor-saving and smooth, the socket must be placed in the socket and the socket is pressed onto the rubber ring in the socket, the wire rope and the guide chain are connected and the chain is tightened. At the same time, the user can shake the installation pipe around the socket end of the installation pipe until the socket of the installation pipe is fully inserted into the socket.

e. The insertion depth of the mounting tube is such that the mounting tube is inserted between the two white lines of the socket marking line. After the mounting tube is inserted, a gap of 1 cm should be left between the socket and the socket.

(7) Bearing and socket connection check

After the connection of the socket and socket of the installation pipe is completed, the connection gap between the socket and the socket shall be checked. The inspection method is as follows: insert the metal ruler into the socket along the circumference of the socket until it reaches the depth of the apron, and the depth of the inspection should be the same.

(8) Deflection angle

When the interface is installed, the deflection angle of the installation pipe can be adjusted according to the engineering requirements. The allowable deflection angle of the installation pipe should be 75% of the allowable deflection angle of the design; the design of different specifications of the pipe allows the deflection angle and the installation allowable deflection angle.


Elevated pipeline installation design

one. When laying pipes on the ground, the following factors should be considered:

a, support system;

b, thermal expansion coefficient;

c. Anchors that resist the pressure in the water pressure of the pipeline.

two. The principle to be supported by the support of concrete or steel;

a. According to the design requirements, each installation pipe should be equipped with a corresponding supporting fixed structure;

b. Each set of support fixing structure should be placed behind the socket of the installation pipe;

c. Each supporting fixed structure shall be equipped with a connection with a rubber pad.

d. Each set of supporting fixed structure shall be equipped with a connecting clip with rubber pad.

three. Thermal expansion

The ductile iron pipeline does not require a special thermal expansion absorbing device. With a sufficiently wide connection clamp, the socket joint between the support systems is sufficient to offset the expansion of the entire pipeline due to temperature changes.

four. Anchor

a. The corresponding anchoring protection measures shall be adopted at the end of the pipeline's elbow, branch pipe, joint and installation pipe.

b. Pipeline turning is generally achieved by using elbows; in this case, the force of the turning point should be calculated and the supporting anchors for the deflection of the mounting pipe should be strengthened.

c. When the installation pipe deflection causes a large internal stress, it must be considered to provide a support system with sufficient safety.

d. The anchors for pipelines can generally be made of high-strength concrete; when the anchors are used, the sockets of the installation pipes should be left as far as possible to facilitate the water pressure test.

Fives. Before the groove is backfilled, measures should be taken to control the vertical deformation of the pipe for flexible pipes with a diameter larger than DN900mm ductile iron pipe.
